Upload Hand History and Let Engine Review

I think it would be great to upload the hand history from a tournament and have it evaluated just like your results are when you play a tournament on the site. I'd definitely pay for that.

A second thought. What if you could upload your custom ranges and play, being critiqued on how well you navigate within those ranges. That would be great reinforcement.

Thanks,

Rick

    Hi Rick,
Thanks for the thoughts. Uploading hand histories from other sites and analyzing them is very difficult to do well and not really what we are about. If you want to have your tourneys from other places evaluated, I'd recommend PokerTracker, which is very good at doing that. Our site is definitely more built for rapid practice.

I like the idea of customer ranges and it's something we've tossed around some. We have been working with someone on a tool he developed called RangeVisor, and it is something we might integrate into APT at some point - but that's probably a ways off.

I think I did a poor job of explaining my idea. I'd like to upload a tournament hand history file and then replay the hands with the positions, blinds and stacks being as they were when I played the hand. That way I could actually reply the hands, quickly skipping those i'm not involved in (or being guided which I should have been). This would be a great way to sharpen your skill using the decisions faced under real conditions.
