Is over 3MM somethings (chips I suppose).
What are these used for? Can I use them for rebuts and add one to APT tournaments?
How many different ways do I acquire them?
Any future plans to sell APT gear (hats, cups, notepads etc) that we'll be able to trade these in for? Think marketing 101.

Funny answer - I have no idea why we show it, how it is calculated, or anything else about it.
I remember when we first started the site using it for some competitions (for t-shirts, hats, spinners, decks of cards, etc.), but I didn't even realize we still showed anything like that.
Steve can probably clarify how it is calculated.
We should start doing something with that again - I still have a ton of gear sitting around.
I think you're referring to the current balance shown in the live tournaments -- that isn't really useful for anything because the system is constantly awarding you more chips to make sure you never run out. We didn't want anyone to not have enough chips to play in as many of the daily tournaments as they wanted, so we set up the system to award more chips every time you log in. That's how you've gotten up to $3MM over time.
Our new leaderboards will be coming out very soon, and then you will be able to track your actual live tournament winnings (or losses).
Here's an idea. I believe the added array of tournaments has been beneficial to me and many others. Buttttttttttttt now I need help (desperately) with another aspect of my poker game. CASH!!!!!!
I realize I may be annoying to the APT mgmt group with all my ideas and requests. You can tell me to shove it if you wish I've been told that before.
Here's my latest request. How about, somehow, adding live play cash games utilizing that "current balance" that we all have available but sitting unused and depressed. My cash game could REALLY use some live competition. 6 max would be great but I'd take 9. If it could simulate $1/$2 with $100/$200 my $3,000,000 might last me a month. This could even include the bots which would make it even trickier methinks. Leaving these running so someone can just drop in spontaneously would work just fine for me.
Ask for other opinions you may be surprised. Conduct a poll.
