SPAM Forum posts

Is there a way for members to flag posts in the Forum as SPAM? I've noticed a bit of it lately and think it would be great if members had a way of letting the admins know so they can remove the posts and user. The Forum is a great resource for players here to help each other and I hate to see it abused in this manner.

The person doing this tonight is @westinbrodey - can the admins delete these posts so that the relevant threads appear for the people who actually use this Forum as it was intended to be?

Thanks much

Jeff

Saw those posts as well, and went in and deleted them. Agree with you, have needed to do the same recently with similar posts. I'm banning that poster from the site so hopefully that solves the immediate issue.

I'll look into whether we can turn a function on to have members report spammers.

Sorry for the hassle. Nothing irritates me more either than that kind of SPAM post clogging up a great discussion site like this.

So I have turned on the Flag function that you'll now see at the top left hand corner at the beginning of a post. That way any member can Flag any SPAM or questionable content and write a quick note (just SPAM is fine for things like this) and the moderators can then see that flag and go investigate.

Awesome! Thanks so much for being on top of this. As you can probably tell, I'm a big fan of the forum. I think it is one of the best resources available to us here in terms of being able to develop our poker knowledge. I hated to see it being misused as it was last night.
