beginners to poker help please??

Hello. I'm still very much a beginner in poker, so please bare with me. I've only ever played a little online, never in person.

But I received some poker chips this Christmas, due to my increasing interest in poker becoming more and more prevalent these last few months, and would like to play a few games with my family. We probably won't be playing for any actual money, just using the chips. I have some white, red, blue, green, and black chips. From what I've read white is $1, red is $5, blue is $10, green is $25, and black is $100 (playing online, I just looked at the numbers, I never even noticed how much each chip represented).

For a quick heads-up game of Texas Hold'em, where the blinds probably won't be increasing, what chip distribution and blinds would you suggest? In order to then increase or decrease the length of that game, would I just edit the starting stack-size of the players? I also might end up playing a game with five it six of us, what chip distribution and blinds would you suggest for that? These are undoubtedly dumb questions, but I've never set up a game before, so I was a tad unsure.

Thank you for any help any of you can give me..
