I want to use the coaches to help me in tough spots but it occurred to me if i do my statistics might be inaccurate because its not actually me making the play its the coach. so my question is the same as the title. if so I feel like a simple fix would be to leave the hands that you get help with out of your statistics.

I have seen the advice given on here before that the best use of the advice, and the one that does not skew your IQ rating, is to decide what you want to do, then peek at the advice, then do what you had decided. The advice is then educational for next time you are in a similar situation, including looking into the reasoning behind the advice. But your rating is still based on your own decision.
I don't know how the new "retry" button will impact this.
I believe the most important thing to keep in mind, is that we are all here to learn. Whether a beginner, or an experienced professional, it is through continuing to learn that we grow; and avoid stagnation. I find the advice helpful as it stimulates my thought. I consider how to integrate the received information into my game. I also value the community here, as perhaps we help each other to grow. In the end, I attempt to enhance the playing abilities that I will bring to the "real world", whether on line, or at the casino. Yeh, it can be fun to get good stats here, but to me the true test is how our simulated play translates into real world success.
I think the issue is if your always leaning on a coach in a tough spot then some leaks in your game will not get picked up in the long term stats and you won't be able to spot and fix them.
What nytider says is correct - the results will always show the action you end up selecting. So make your best choice of an action, then use the advice to see what the advisor thinks you should have done, but keep your action for an accurate assessment of your game.
I don't think your suggestion of ignoring hands in stats where you look at the advisor's advice would work well because many people on this site look at the advice and the brain button/show range button on a regular basis - we encourage that. But keeping those hands out of stats and training plans would mean you would have to play some sessions without even looking at the advice or brain button, and I think that would defeat the purpose of the site.
nytider - you are correct in bringing the RETRY button into this discussion. The RETRY button will enable you to go back and try to play the hand using a different action (for example using the advisor advice), without it counting in stats or training plans. Hands played using the RETRY feature will not count in stats or training plans (nor will they save). That feature will be solely for practicing and trying different lines. So one option that I think this button will enable is 1) play the hand your way, 2) retry it and see what the advisor says. That's probably the way I will use it.
