A couple of people have asked for an orientation to the new forums.
When you look at your forum page, you have your discussion threads on the left and other information on the right.
In the discussion listing, the green box tells you how many threads are in that forum and the blue tells you how many comments.
When you click through to a forum, the individual threads in that forum are listed. They eye tells you how many people have looked at that thread and the quote box tells you how many comments are in the thread. If you hover over that area, you will see a star. If you click on that star it will bookmark the thread so that you will always be able to find it in your bookmark area (on the right) if you want to check on the conversation in the future.
If you have posted in a thread, you have up to four hours to edit that post. If you hover over the upper right corner of your comment, a box will show up. If you click it, it will allow you to edit your post.
On the right side of your page, you can create a new discussion thread, see all discussions with comments in them since you last visited (Recent Discussions), check out a category, or review your bookmarked threads.
Finally, at the top right of the forum page you can click the magnifying glass to search posts for words or posters. You can also click the profile silhouette and set up your APT profile. This will allow you to add some information about yourself and upload a picture or avatar which will appear in the forum when you comment. If you click on someone else's avatar, it will bring up their profile so that you can learn more about them. If you do not set up an avatar, the first letter of your login will appear as your avatar.
Let me know if I've missed anything!
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

I just don't seem to be improving. Am I to scared? Even here on APT. Should I be only using an advisor when my decisions disagree with theirs? Am I even in the right place to be asking these questions? As you can probably surmise, I'm pretty green here on APT.
Thanks
Michael
