Small/med pocket pairs??
I don't like playing small/med pocket pairs from early position. It seems too low ev as I have to fold often to the flop.
When I play like this, my adviser rec "calling" with these little pairs. So I started doing that.
Then my weekly training said, "you're calling with small/med pocket pairs too often. they can usu only be profitable from late position."
LOL. ?? What's up with that? I still have TAG adviser urging me to play small/med pocket pairs even from UTG.
Is there a reason they're doing this?
I've looked at "BRAIN" but it just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe I'm just missing it (that's probably it) LOL

Advice is highly situation dependent and is just a possible line. Apparently you are doing this too much, or you personally aren't able to play them profitably. If you have questions about specific hands and what to do, post them in the specific hands forum.
