This software offers so much help in so many areas, I find it hard to fit all the homework (as I call it) into the time I've allotted to train. How do you all do your training each week to take advantage of it all?
The games are petty fast, so it usually doesn't take more that 15 minutes to go through 100 hands.
I try to concentrate on things that I think are weaknesses, or leaks, that annoy me, and hit those HARD. For example: MTT - playing raggy aces or JJ/10 10. I think those drive many people mad. Playing early position hands too.
I'm not sure that doing sng exercises is better to do (for me personally) then just playing more of them. I think that's helping a great deal. I will get to the suggested training eventually but first I wanna develop some consistent results.
I wish Illinois had legal online poker so I could put these newly acquired skillz to use more often.

I actually think that, at least in my experience, APT has helped me improve my live play more than my online play. Maybe that is just me. Maybe the bots are more like live players than they are online players. I don't know. It has been helpful in both, but I see a bigger difference live. Just something to think about when you are wishing for online poker.
As to the original question, I try to spend a little time on the trainer several times per week, but I don't always have as much time as I would like. I try to work through my training plan, do the weekly challenge at some point, do a beat the pro or two, and play a couple of sessions to let the system develop my next training plan.
I also try to incorporate some other information, like various podcasts, into the mix.

Same here for Texas. I feel like I am improving and I would love to test drive the new me on real players.
nytider - Thank you for your insight. I like your approach and I am going to incorporate your suggestions into my weekly "homework". As for me wanting to test-drive the new me, I meant to say "test-drive on real, live (not online) players."
I should also mention that I live in a location where there aren't a lot of legal options for live poker. Although, I can get to some within a reasonable time. So I go occasionally to a real poker room. But a lot of what I do for practice in between, other than this site, is play in a bar league. The poker can be hit or miss, and there are more novice players than you'll usually see in a real game. But I think it has helped me a lot to just be more comfortable at a table with other players, handling chips and cards, etc. There are others around, but the league I play in is World Tavern Poker, and they have games all over the United States.
