Questions RE: Trainer Rating On Stealing/Defending Blinds

So, every week my trainer report says that I am basically 0% in terms of stealing/defending my blinds. I purposely play the 100 hands very AGG but I am still not budging that rating. Am I missing something. BTW, the hyper LAGG out of the blinds was for the purpose of experimentation, not how I actually play.

That being said, I am seeing real improvement in other areas of the game. I love this resource!!

    Hi sleeperno1,
First, just confirming you are talking about the DFS% and the Steal%. I looked at your reports and noticed a couple things - first, you are right, both those numbers are 0% in the 9max game. The reason is likely opportunities. You have played a total of 140 cash hands with most of your sessions under 50 hands. However, in 90+ SnG hands, you are at 100%-0% on the two measures. What that means is that you haven't played enough hands to give a reliable measure on either of these. In a 50 hand session, you only have about 6 times in the BB and you may not even have a chance to defend it against a steal attempt. Similarly, you may not have many attempts to steal the blinds - others limp before you, etc. I wouldn't worry about it much if you think you are playing aggressively. In the long run, it should get up to normal levels. I really think you need to play about 1000 hands before any of these measures really start to mean anything, and 5000 before you can learn a lot from them.

Welcome to APT. I hope you enjoy the site.

    AllenBay,

Thank you for the prompt answer. Totally makes sense. I have thoroughly been enjoying the site. I have found when learning a new skill, it is helpful to try to set up something that you can do via rote each day. For instance, it I commit to writing 3000 words per day, I can have a novel in a certain period of time. the process here is much the same way. I have been striving to log in and play at least 100 hands per day and do everything that the weekly reports say I should do. I absolutely love this whole concept. I am already seeing results.
