Want to know why it's hard to beat this level? Look at this fold by the bot. If you are going to fold this flop, why call? Just fold pre. Lol
There is no human player that would fold here.
These bots squeak when they walk. )

I got nothing. Just wow. Great flop for his hand too. You would be c-betting this flop with pretty much all of your opening range so that in and of itself is meaningless. He's ahead of all your Ax and Kx combos plus TT, assuming you are uber-tight. He has the only set here. Plus he has the Jc, blocking one of your nut-flush combos. I'd at least call here if not put in a raise. Of course I'm more prone to 3-bet JJ preflop than most. Close call here against an EP open but I'd rather be heads up in position than price the BB in to call and go multiway with this hand. Think about how that would have changed the dynamic of the hand here. If you flat his 3-bet, he has position and an uncapped range while you are capped pretty much where you are. Would put you in the bad spot rather than the other way around. He'd be able to bet even with overcards because he has the range and nut advantage on all A's and K's.
It may be time for another challenge - opening any two cards from EP and c-betting all dry flops to see what percent of the time opponents fold. I wonder if the bots could be programmed to have at least somewhat of a minimum defense frequency?
Added: I just thought to peek at the BB's cards and I'm a little surprised he didn't elect to come in with A10o. Great price to see a flop and has the potential of flopping the nuts. He needed to put another $10 into a pot of $37 so he really didn't need a whole lot of equity to make the call. Would have complicated the heck out of the flop for you and the JJ hand had he come along.
Yeah. Villan played it as if JJ is same as 2 red 5s or 6s. So on the flop villan is ahead of 166 hands and snap folds. SMH And villan has a flush maker/ blocker. Maybe peel 1!?!?
2 red 5's or 6's? Heck, I'm continuing with those hands as well. I'm probably still ahead of his range and still have position. The hands I'd be giving up on would be like suited connectors with no backdoor flush draws. All pairs at least call 1 bet in position. Same with any suited A with clubs or hearts. This is just too weak of a play IMHO.
@highfive - just played a very similar hand in the tournament here. I was UTG+1 and opened JJ. UTG+2 3-bets me and I call after everyone else folds. Paired low board and I check raise her c-bet. She calls. Turn another low card, giving a possible spade flush draw (I have none) and a mostly irrelevant straight draw. I bet 1/3 pot and she calls. I have about pot behind and river puts 4 to the straight out there. I jam and she calls with KK. My line was based on giving her a tight 3-bet range of value only (QQ+, AQ+) so I was ahead of 32 out of the 50 possible combos she could have had. I could have taken a check-call line and hoped for showdown. Would have been a smarter way to play the hand and I could potentially have carried forward in the game. Oh well. At least I think I made her earn it by putting her in 2 very weird spots.
In later positions I would have 4-bet the jacks. In the hand above, villain had no idea where he was because he just flatted your open. On the other hand, he didn't go broke with JJ and I did so who played them better?
Didnt get whether this was live or bot tourney? @1warlock
@highfive - Live. The daily one they have here.
Was going to say, bot"s range for 3bet utg-utg+1 is AA, KK only. They call all day with QQ & AK.
As played I say your call is standard. Not laying down 4th best hand to a 3bet.
Your check/raise and her call gave you the info for a fold. That eliminates bluffs and Ax. Now its a "grit your teeth" check fold. Especially freezeout tourney where death is possible. Cash games have reloads available.
Me: call 3bet. Check size of cbet. Peel 1 according to bet sizes- stack sizes. M2C
@1warlock
@highfive - yeah, I donked it out. Poor play, though I think AK still calls the CR on that flop, esp with any backdoor draws. I would have thought QQ or KK would re-raise me. It wasn't my finest moment for sure LOL. This is why I'm not playing cash right now. My head just isn't in the game.
It's one of those "will happen less than 1% of the time in real life" plays that seems to happen a LOT more than 1% of the time on APT (and they all seem to be the bots making the "right" play)!
