This is the 2nd time in the past week that when I click the Quit and Save button I get an error message and my session is not saved (Error code 12394). This time I made a point of verifying that there was no problem with my internet connection by having another site open that absolutely required a continuous, no interruption connection. At this point I think that due to your recent growth your server may be overloaded during the peak playing hours (early evening).
If I can't save my session my Training Plan is less useful and well as my ability to analyze hand from my sessions.
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

That error code should only happen when your connection goes down...but I will look into it further.
The good news is, we save every hand to your database anyway. The Quit and Save button just makes sure the session is closed out cleanly, but if you go to your "My Saved Sessions" page you will see everything is there!
Steve
Thank you. I will check it out.
Actually I don't believe that is completely accurate. When I was playing today (Sunday, around 5:30pm), it appears that my connection may have been intermittent for a few minutes. I say that because I received a brief message saying something about range analysis not being available due a communication issue with the server (or at least that is what I think that it said, it came and went very quickly). Therefore, I made a point of verifying the number of hands that I had played and my overall results, so that I could compare that to the "My Saved Sessions" report. When I went to "My Saved Sessions" page there was a difference of maybe about 10 hands. So I believe that this indicates that when a connection issues arises, the hands are not saved locally (i.e. on my computer) and then transferred to APT database once communication is restored.
Hi,
Sorry you are having this problem. I know we have discussed this via email about a week ago, but I'll post it here to clarify it just in case anyone else happens to have this problem (as far as I know it is extremely uncommon - I don't think I've talked with anyone else about this in a couple years).
We do not save out data on your side - ideally it saves immediately to our server. But when there is an internet connection problem, not anything related to server load, your device cannot communicate with our server. When this happens, we store the data in device memory until the connection is restored. We store it in memory because on many devices we can't easily store the data in any physical form (for example, iPads and almost all mobile devices). So it sits in memory. If it is a normal intermittent problem, you'll never notice the difference because the data will store immediately when internet access restores. If you recall, the last time you reported this problem I was able to do some research and see that 23 minutes passed between connections in the middle of the session. System memory wasn't able to hold all of that on your device, but when it recovered, it did save all the hands that were in memory.
I looked back at your sessions from the two times you posted this time in the forum. I can't find any indications of outages during the sessions. For the one last night, you played 257 hands between about 5:30 and 7:00. Hands seem to be saving at the usual pace, they are sequential in the way they saved in terms of both time and number, etc. If there are missing hands, they would have to be at the very end of the session because there aren't any missing in the middle. It definitely sounds like your system is having trouble maintaining a constant connection and I'm not sure why. If you do get that 12394 error message again at the end of a session, don't leave the page. You should get access back and it should save anything in memory.
Again, I'm sorry you are having this trouble. I can tell you are getting that message, but I cannot verify that you are losing any hands because the sequence seems right.
Thanks Allen. If I get that message again, I will just wait a few seconds before moving on to the next hand in the hopes that it will catch back up. I guess I am enjoying it too much to slow down !!
