Get Ready for the 2024 WSOP

Spread the word and share this article

Yesterday the WSOP organizing body finally released the schedule for the 2024 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. The 2024 WSOP will run from May 28th to July 17th and will include a full 99 bracelet events. For the third year in a row the series will be split between the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas.

2024 WSOP Schedule

The 2024 WSOP is starting things off with a fun new idea. They have created a Champion’s Reunion No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout event. Previous champions of the WSOP main event will be given a free entry, while the general public can enter via a $5,000 buy-in. Those entrants who knock out a former World Champion win a seat into the 2024 WSOP main event.

The 2023 Main Event drew the largest pool in WSOP history, at 10,043 players. This year the WSOP is hoping for even more players and has thrown in an extra 100 poker tables to help get them there. This year’s Main Event will include four starting flights and will run from July 3rd to 17th.

As usual, the WSOP is adding some new events this summer. Since apparently, a flip and go tournament is not crazy enough (and yes, that event will return on July 8th), this year we can enjoy a $1,500 buy-in no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha double board bomb pot tournament. Sounds like someone is stealing ideas from Texas. There will also be a Seniors High Roller for the first time, for a $5,000 buy in.

Another new idea for the 2024 WSOP, which seems fun is a tournament for winners of Daily Deepstacks tournaments.  The top ten point earners each week from May 28 to June 24 will get complimentary seats into the $600 PokerNews Deep Stack Championship.

Of course, player favorites will also return. The Seniors Tournament starts on June 18th. There will be multiple Mystery Bounty tournaments, including a PLO Mystery Bounty. And don’t forget the above mentioned Flip N Go! There will also be a number of low buy-in huge field tourneys, including one you can play on the 4th of July.
